Installation of iSkysoft Free Video Downloader for Mac couldn't be simpler with the new drag-and-install method. You just need to double click the installation file and drag the program icon to "Applications" on the left. After that, double click the program icon to launch the free YouTube downloader for Mac.
Note: In order to install or uninstall Free Video Downloader successfully, quit Safari, Chrome or Firefox.
Launch Safari, Chrome or Firefox, and go to YouTube.com to play the video you want to download. The "Download" button will show up at the top left corner of the video when it is detected on the webpage. Free Video Downloader for Mac offers three options for you to download videos:
A) Click the Download button and let the YouTube download wizard to do the rest for you.
B) Drag and drop the URL to the Free Video Downloader for Mac dock icon to start downloading.
C) Copy the URL of the video page, and then click Paste URL in the main window of Free Video Downloader.
You can let this app run background to do the task of downloading, and search more cool videos on YouTube. Add new videos to the download queue with a single click. Click the application icon on the dock to show Free Video Download window on screen, so you can check the download process and find downloaded YouTube videos in "Downloaded" tab.
Note: To enable the "Download" button on your browser, you first need to install the download add-on on your Safari, Chrome or Firefox. The installation is very simple with the help of on screen instruction.
Now iSkysoft Free Video Downloader for Mac supports downloading all videos from a YouTube channel, playlist, user page, and category. When you open a YouTube channel, playlist, user page or category, you will see the "Download All" button. Just click the button to download the whole YouTube playlist for free.
When you click on the "Download All" button, a pop-up window will show up allowing you to select the videos you want. Then you're able to choose desired videos to download. When you click "Download", the selected videos will be downloaded simultaneously. (You can select up to 15 videos depending on your settings in Preferences.)
Click Downloaded tab on the left side of the Free Video Downloader for Mac window to see the downloaded videos on the right.
Double click any item to play it with the built-in FLV player. No third-party video play required.
You can also use Free YouTube Downloader for Mac to play and manage your own FLV/MP4/WebM videos on your Mac. To do so, File > Import, navigate to the directory where your video files are saved, and click Load.
After your FLV/MP4/WebM files are imported to the library and you can easily view or access them anytime you want.
