Filmora Video Editor
How to Use Motion Tracking?
The motion tracker tool allows you to track the video's motion and follow the motion to follow objects such as videos, elements, images, and text.
Here is how to apply motion tracking in Filmora:
Apply motion tracking to video clips
Double-click the clip in the timeline to open the edit menu, and then check the box next to Motion Tracking
Move the tracker frame to the moving object in the video you want to track and then click "Start Tracking" to show the effect.
Next, drag and drop the text, image, element, or video clip to the track above the video, and adjust the position, size and direction as needed.
Double-click the motion tracking video clip in the timeline, click the drop-down menu under Motion Tracking, and then select an object to track the movement.
Play the video and check the tracking results. You can fine-tune the object's size and position according to the track in the Preview without having to start tracking again. Also, you can switch followers at any time.
Turn off motion tracking in Filmora
To turn off motion tracking, uncheck the box next to Motion Tracking in the Video edit menu (double-click your clip and go to the Video tab to access this menu).
